Nano DNA Traps for Drug Delivery

Biochemists at Montreal’s McGill University are experimenting with nano “cubes,” made of DNA and coated with lipid-like molecules, that can act as biodegradable drug carriers. So far, they have demonstrated how gold particles can be loaded and released at specific sites in the body; the next step is to see how therapeutic molecules can be delivered to tumors in the same manner.
