Smart Jacket Detects Pneumonia in Children
This piece is about a wearable stethoscope, in the form of a sensored jacket that can alert doctors to cases of pediatric pneumonia in remote areas of Africa. The sensors measure temperature, heart beat and respiration, with the data transmitted to a doctor via a Bluetooth device. That’s a very good idea, which might easily extend to bed-ridden elders in developed countries. MORE
