Glucose Breathalyzer
Using nano-thin films that react to acetone, engineers at Western New England University have built a device that can detect and measure blood glucose levels in diabetics. The next step in this work is to reduce the size of the device from a hardback book to a deck of cards. Stony Brook University and the University of Pittsburgh have also developed glucose breathalyzers for diabetes. MORE
