From University of Virginia researchers: “Virtual native enhancement (VNE) is a new deep learning–driven cardiovascular magnetic resonance (CMR) technology that generates images closely resembling conventional late gadolinium enhancement without the need for gadolinium-based contrast agent; in other words, it serves as a “virtual contrast agent” and produces “virtual late gadolinium enhancement” images.
