Implant for Tissue Restoration in Rotator Cuff
May 30, 2017 | Terry Sharrer
Four tendons hold shoulder muscles to the bone. Tears in one or more of those tendons compromise movement and cause pain. Rotation Medical (Plymouth, MN) and Tulane University have tested a new approach to rotator cuff injuries using a collagen patch (made from bovine Achilles tendon) that is stapled to both the injured tendon and the bone. At the bottom of this piece there is a link to Rotation Medical’s website that gives more details about this minimally invasive procedure. MORE WITH VIDEO
