Skin Patch Dx for Food Allergies

For an infant with undiagnosed allergies to milk and egg proteins, the only communication is through crying—-non-stop crying. To diagnose this situation, a company, DBV Technologies (Montrouge, France) with investments from Nestle is developing a skin patch “to deliver epicutaneous immunotherapy–small quantities of proteins via intact skin to address allergies including to milk, peanuts and eggs. DBV is furthest along with its Viaskin Peanut product, which is in Phase III testing.” MORE
