Nanoparticles of Chlorophyll, Phospholipid and Cobalt

Nanoparticles are becoming increasingly useful in both imaging and therapy. This piece reports on a process developed at the University of Buffalo where researchers fabricated nanoparticles of chlorophyll, phospholipid and cobalt and then mixed them in water with protein and polyhistidine-tags. This formed a stable construct which stimulated immune responses to HIV and cancerous tumors. MORE
