Telemedicine has existed almost as long as the telephone, or at least since the saying “take two aspirin and call me in the morning.” But the COVID-19 pandemic has brought on telemedicine full blown. As this piece accounts: “Major health systems, clinics and private practices alike pivoted swiftly to telemedicine when the COVID-19 pandemic forced the nation to shelter in place and patients could no longer safely venture into health care settings.
