An Injectable Neural Stimulation Electrode

Neuromoduation, via electrical stimulation, is a technique for treating seizures, chronic pain, depression, and opioid withdrawal. A difficulty with this approach is physically placing an electrode in the proper brain site. To ameliorate this, engineers at the University of Wisconsin Madison have develop an “injectrode,” which is a flowable polymer (silicone and silver) that can be injected to solidify in place. MORE
