Urine Test for Transplant Rejection

To determine if rejection of a transplanted organ is beginning, researchers at Emory University School of Medicine have designed an injectable nanoparticle that targets granzyme B and carries a fluorescent tag indicating natural killer cells and cytotoxic T cells are at work. Those nanoparticles are small enough to transit the kidney and glow in urine. MORE
