Novel Gallium-68 Contrast Agent for most Cancers

Radiopharmacology researchers at the University of Heidelberg have reported that “68 Ga-FAPI,” an acronym for gallium 68-fibroblast activated protein inhibitor, for PET and CT imaging, showed higher uptake for most kinds of cancers than previous contrast agents. The greater the amount of fibroblast activated protein in a tumor tracks with faster growth, progression, and migration to distant sites. MORE
