Adducts Borane 3D-balls
Roughly half of American adults suffer from at least one of six diseases: cardiovascular, cancer, cardiopulmonary, asthma, diabetes and arthritis. All of these can present evidence of DNA damage in cells, and that can arise from molecular aberrations called “adducts”, in which an addition of one molecule to another creates a new reactive product. All the known adducts make up the newest “omics,” adductomics. This piece reports work at Florida International University on disease-related adducts analyzed from urine samples. MORE
