Monitoring Glucose in Saliva

As far as your editor can tell, this video (first link) and the published article (second link) are the same story. If so, researchers at Northeastern University in Boston have developed a noninvasive means for glucose monitoring in saliva. The technology involves taking a saliva sample and presenting it to a photonic measurement device (as seen in the video). Supposedly, this saliva method and that of the typical glucometer produce the same results. MORE WITH VIDEO
