Sensored Socks for Diabetic Feet

A San Francisco company, “Siren,” has introduced a sensored sock for monitoring foot temperature as an indicator of developing diabetic ulcers. Though the socks look like a normal pair, they are made of “Neurofabric” with embedded microsensors. Data is read out from a phone app, and the socks are available as a monthly subscription. The appealing thing about this wearable is that it is a passive system, other than putting it on. MORE
