Nanotube Coating for Implantable Metal

With implantable devices like stents and rods, there is a risk that platelets will stick to their surfaces and cause clots. To improve on this, two Colorado State University bioengineers created a “superhemophobic titanium” material coated with fluorinate nanotubes.
