This piece is an advertisement for a $350 wearable nerve stimulator that supposedly prevents the onset of migraine headaches. “The Cefaly delivers transcutaneous electrical stimulation to the trigeminal nerve, which is known to be involved with the pathophysiology of some migraines. Twenty minutes of therapy with the Cefaly has been shown to reduce migraine headaches.” It requires a physician’s prescription, and the distributor for this Belgian-made device is Cefaly US (Wilton, CT).
