Pepper Robot

Robots are making their way into healthcare, with delivery tugs, room sterilizers, and tele-rounders. Now, a Belgian company, Zora Bots (Ostend, Belgium) has delivered its humanoid “social care” robot, “Pepper,” to Ostend Hospital. Pepper can greet people, lead them to patients’ rooms or give directions, and engage with new mothers in the maternity area. This may seem like a toy, but actually Pepper is part of an idea called the autonomous hospital. MORE
