Luciferin Analog Produces Near Infrared Bioluminescence
July 12, 2016 | Terry Sharrer
A water soluble, synthesized form of luciferin, known as “AkaLumine-hydrochloride” has been demonstrated to penetrate deeply into mouse lung tumor tissue and emit a strong signal near-infrared light (677 nm) for imaging. This work was done in Japan as a collaboration between Toyko Tech and the University of Electro-Communications. MORE
