AT&T’s “Foundry” for Telemedicine

The Texas Medical Center in Houston is the world’s largest medical complex with “21 hospitals, 13 support organizations, eight academic and research institutions, six nursing programs, three public health organizations, three medical schools, two universities, two pharmacy schools and a dental school—in all, employing 106,000 people. Its 30 acre Innovation Campus has recently announced a new member “AT&T’s Foundry for Connected Health.” Its aim is to develop wireless communication means for all aspects of in-patient, out-patient and home-patient services.
