Glucose Monitoring with a Contact Lens
March 1, 2016 | Terry Sharrer
The basic idea of organic electronics is finding materials which support electrical circuits and are biocompatible with living tissue. To that end, researchers at the University of South Australia’s Future Industries Institute (Mawson Lakes, SA) have created a thin polymer film on which they can “grow” electrical circuits for sensors that detect glucose levels through a contact lens on the eye.
