The Natural First Steroidal Alkaloid in Mammals Identified and It Acts as a Tumor Suppressor

In the interaction of cholesterol and histamine, investigators at the Cancer Research Center of the University of Toulouse, France, have discovered the first steroidal alkaloid, named dendrogenic A, that acts as a tumor suppressing protein. They believe that this represents a new pathway for cancer suppressing drugs which likely would target a tumor’s acidic microenvironment. MORE
