Biodegradable Sensors Measures Brain Temperature and Pressure from Atop the Skull
February 16, 2016 | Terry Sharrer
It shouldn’t be too hard a task to measure brain temperature from an implant between the skin and skull, but taking a reading for intracranial fluid is quite a feat, but that is what electrical engineers at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign claim they have done. Moreover, they describe this silicon device as being bioresorbable, which must be challenging for the wireless transmitter component. MORE
