Outset Medical (San Jose, CA) has limited FDA approval for a new automated hemodialysis system, named “Tablo,” that the company imagines may ultimately allow patients to do dialysis at home without supervision. That step, however, will require further FDA review which, no doubt, will focus on infection control. MORE
