Implantable Biosensor with Wireless Reporting

Here is the claim: “This is the world’s first chip capable of measuring not just pH and temperature, but also metabolism-related molecules like glucose, lactate and cholesterol, as well as drugs . . .” From the Ecole Polytechnique Federale de Lausanne, this one centimeter square implantable chip includes six biosensors, a control unit that analyzes data from the sensor, and a radio transmission module that sends findings to a smart phone. Power comes from an inductive battery worn on the skin. So far, it hasn’t been tested on humans. MORE
