Irritable bowel disease, inflammatory bowel syndrome, celiac disease and other GI tract problems present similar symptoms and none are bright spots for diagnosis, at least until now. A blood test for two biomarkers, developed at the GI Motility Laboratory of Cedars-Sinai Medical Center (Los Angeles), has shown a 90% accuracy rate for identifying IBD.
