Geneticists at Oxford University and their collaborators have produced the first fine scale genetic map of any country (according to this piece which overlooks DeCODE Genetics work in Iceland). While this piece only names the software programs, “Structure” and “Globetrotter,” without explaining how they analyze, this example suggests that something similar might be done so that any hospital could learn the population health features of the community it serves.
