Robotic Ankle with Ground Scanning Camera

Engineers at Michigan Technological University (Houghton, MI) have developed a prosthetic foot and ankle with a ground scanning camera that sends data to a computer controlled actuator. The actuator can be carried in a pants pocket, but it enables the prosthetic to apply the proper angle and stiffness for a normal gait. MORE
