Keeping Stem Cells in Place

Encasing stem cells in hydrogel before injecting them at a site of bone repair keeps the cells in place (in the outer layer periosteum) and allows engraftment while the hydrogel dissolves harmlessly. Researchers at the University of Rochester had demonstrated this feature using fluorescent labeled stem cells. MORE
