Ohio State University bioengineers have used an aluminum oxide coating to protect a silicon sensor while it detects biomarkers indicating early stage organ transplant rejection.  The sensor is delivered by a needle near the transplanted organ and could alert physicians to increase or decrease the dosage of anti-rejection drugs.  MORE
