Nerve Regenerating Gel
August 6, 2013 | Terry Sharrer
Researchers at Tel Aviv University have developed what they call a “Guiding Regeneration Gel,” made of antioxidants, synthetic laminen peptides and hyaluronic acid. When a polymer tube, filled with this gel, is attached to severed or injured nerve fibers, the nerves can regenerate their connection and transmission. So far, this has only been accomplished in animal studies, but there is no obvious impediment for this in humans. MORE
