Improved Wearable Sensors for Physiotherapy Monitoring
February 26, 2013 | Terry Sharrer
Italian scientists have developed a wearable sensor jacket, with conductive elastomers printed into the fabric, which can record over 600 different movements. A low voltage battery powers a Bluetooth connector for wireless data transmission to a computer. The device was aimed at clinical rehabilitation, but movement disorders present in so many health situations that a much greater utility is foreseeable. MORE
