Continuous BP Monitoring Patch
November 18, 2012 | Terry Sharrer
“ContiPress” is the name a Danish company has given to a skin patch that monitors blood pressure. The device works by measuring the electrical impedance around a blood vessel which software converts to a BP value. The patch goes on the upper arm, and can take a reading every 10 seconds, 24/7. It is still in development and there’s no mention of using a wireless signal to transmit the data to a cell phone or other passive device. MORE
