Huntington’s Disease in a Dish

Finding a cure for Huntington’s disease has been limited to trials with living patients until now. Researchers at Johns Hopkins haven’t found a cure, but they have succeeded in growing induced pluripotent stem cells, from the skin of an HD sufferer, into neurons that degenerate just as diseased cells do. This in vitro model should accelerate drug screening. MORE
