For clarification, the FDA cleared product launching in 2013 is in fact powered by an automated expert analytics system, allowing for automated real-time and longitudinal patient coaching and education. The product also off-loads the burden of data collection and analysis for the healthcare provider by empowering them with clinical decision support. Together, these two features close the loop in care between a physicians’s prescribed treatment plan and a patient’s daily self-management.
