Microfluidic Chemostat

Researchers in the Microfluidics Laboratory at Johns Hopkins have devised a lab chip that flows a blood sample over a ridged surface thereby sorting normal and tumor cells by weight and charge.  A video shows the principles involved in this new technique, but the entire website is an interesting window into the field of microfluidics.  MOREWITH VIDEOS
