Useable Genomics for Physicians

The greatest constriction of clinical genomics no longer is the cost of DNA sequencing as much as the analysis of genetic variations in the form of a medically relevant report physicians can use. Knome (Cambridge, MA), a company that does commercial sequencing, has developed a software program that does that analysis relevant to disease risk and drug metabolism. Knome has now trademarked its slogan “The Human Genome Interpretation Company,” but its price transparency remains obscure. MORE
