Animas Corporation (West Chester, PA, part of Johnson & Johnson) has conducted a non randomized, uncontrolled feasibility study of 13 participants at one trial site for its combination continuous insulin pump and continuous glucose monitor (called the “Hypoglycemia-Hyperglycemia Minimizer System”) for people with Type 1 diabetes.  What the trial showed was that the algorithm coordinating blood glucose levels and insulin delivery succeeded in maintain a normal balance.  MORE
