GE Pursues Innovation in China

Joint ventures must be a new kind of religion in China, as the march of western industrial converts to deal-making in China keeps coming. General Electric has committed $2b to Chinese projects over the next three years, starting with a healthcare products innovation center in Chengdu, provincial capital of Sichuan. Other foreign companies in Chengdu include Intel, Nokia, IBM, Cisco, Microsoft, SAP, Xerox, et al, attracted to the city’s talent in electronics and information technology. MORE
