Biotroniks Passeo Drug-Coated Balloon

German medical device-maker, Biotronik (Berlin, Germany) has had good early results from its clinical trials of a drug-eluting balloon used to open blood vessels as found in femoropopliteal arterial disease.  The balloon is coated with an anticlotting drug which remains at the site after the catheter is withdrawn.  MORE
