Vodafone Pursuing mHealth

Health care now accounts for one in five American jobs—more than that of manufacturing—and a third of all new jobs since 2009 have been in health care. But that’s only the beginning, as more and more firms move into this sector. IBM, General Electric, and Qualcomm have major health-technology divisions; Verizon, AT&T, and Sprint, are building a strategic presence in health care, and this piece describes the recent partnership between Vodafone and Boston Scientific Corporation to develop mobile health monitoring solutions.
