Novel Technique for Distinguishing Normal and Diseased Tissue

Using a resonance tunnel diode, MEMS engineers at the Technical University of Darmstadt in Germany have created a micro-transmitter, less than one square millimeter, that is capable of transmitting in the tremendously high frequency range (1.1111 THz). The researchers believe it might be possible to use this device to distinguish between normal and diseases tissues in the body. MORE
