Tarilian Laser Technologies (Welwyn Garden City, Herts, UK) has developed a cuffless blood pressure monitor that can take a reading from anywhere on the body where its laser sensor can be pressed.  It gives an instant reading.  This piece and the accompanying video show how it is used, but not really how it works (i.e. doesn’t explain the optoelectronics).
