Every state has agencies and organizations that track hospital performance for various benchmarks. This site, compiled by the RWJ Foundation, shows those resources by state.  Some of the information is quite eye-opening on prices and outcomes, but in the Leapfrog Hospital Surveys, many hospitals chose not to report.  Indeed, price transparency is a rare virtual in healthcare and without it real reform is largely illusionary.    MORE
