Digital Identities

Getting approval signatures on clinical trial documents is something like a series of speed bumps on a super highway, and as trials have become more complex and regulated, hand-signed papers cause traffic jams. To address this problem, the National Cancer Institute and Bristol-Myers Squibb have carried out a demonstration project using digital signatures and cloud computing that saves much time over the average 3 to 5 days it takes per signature on documents that can require hundreds of approvals for files running to 100,000 pages. Further, digital trial documentation doesn’t need photocopying or courier delivery. This can have a highly favorable ROI on administrative costs. MORE
