Yale scientists recently announced their findings that a genetic mutation resulting in loss of potassium channel function is implicated in both hereditary hypertension and adrenal aldosterone-producing adenomas.  Hypertension and cancer are not normally linked, but in this instance, two unrelated diseases share a common pathogenic pathway.            MORE
