Here is another illustration of mobility as a “vital sign” among elders. Researchers at Wake Forest University/Baptist Medical Center have developed a video animation assessment tool that shows movements, like climbing stairs with a grocery bad in hand, and asks elders if they are able to do what they see. After showing several situations, the four minute program calculates a movement score.
