When does a behavioral intervention have the greatest effect? The Patient Channel supposes that moment is when the patient is in a hospital bed watching TV. Two recent programs-“Stroke: The Road to Recovery” and “Controlling High Blood Pressure”-are presented in that fashion to some 1,600 hospitals, and like broadcast television, the service includes advertisements, as education and direct marketing are opposite sides of the same coin.
