2011 may be the year of the iPad for hospitals. In a survey of 950 HIMSS members last month, more than 70% said they planned to deploy iPads (or similar devices) this year.  Reasons most cited for this interest were lab order visualization and results, clinical decision support and medical image viewing among physicians, and billing, coding and claims among administrators.  Many people, however, questioned whether security support will be adequate.    MORE
