The Army’s Mobile EMR

Most arguments over data entry into electronic medical records pale by comparison to doing that work under combat conditions. But because combat is what soldiers often do, the Army is developing a mobile EMR that can track wounded troops, more efficiently manage supply chain logistics, and monitor equipment that moves with the wounded. Researchers are now seeing how well they can document mild traumatic brain injury-which could be valuable information while the soldier is in-service and afterwards under care of the Veterans Administration.
