Mayo Clinic began using social media five years ago, and now sees Twitter, YouTube and Facebook as a means for connecting doctors and patients while building its constituency. It now has decided to help other healthcare providers do the same-Mayo’s Center for Social Media will feature workshops, consulting and conferences to promote social media use in healthcare. The Center employs eight people and is funded at $800k. MORE
